Today's lesson, 27, asks me to do the lessons at a definite time interval. Does anyone have any tips as to how to remember to do this? I've tried in the past when doing the lessons to remember throughout the day, but don't come anywhere near 1/3 of the times I've set for myself.

Dedicated lesson time.

For consideration: "Spend your five minutes thus with Him each time you can today, but do not think that less is worthless when you cannot give Him more." ACIM/105/9.1

"We understand, of course, that it may be impossible for you to undertake what is suggested here as optimal each day and every hour of the day. Learning will not be hampered when you miss a practice period because it is impossible at the appointed time." ACIM/W/ReviewIII/Intro/2.1-2

Only unwillingness to practice the lessons would hamper your learning. Don't be too hard on yourself. Remember that charity begins at home, forgive yourself. HTH.

The perfect ACIM Digital Lessons Timer

It really works for me do what the lessons asks. It's amazing how the vigilance via repetition of the lesson throughout the day meets whatever is up at the moment and works to heal my mind and make me laugh.

I finally found the perfect digital timer and bought a bunch and put them on my website for sale for $25. www.spiritualear.org, look under "study tools."

It has two timers built in, one for the reminder and other one for the duration of the medidation. It is just smaller than a small cell phone, but has a big display and big reset button. It also has a silent mode -- vibrate or light flash -- so I don't have any excuses for doing my lesson, even when I am in a meeting at work. Belt clip, magnetic back, and table stand all built in. Batteries included! It's the best.

Also, unlike many digital timers-- this one goes off at the interval you set only, not early like an egg timer.

Yes! Do the lessons as prescribed!!

I use a digital watch that beeps on the hour and half-hour. I don't like wearing a wristwatch so I bought a cheap plastic watch and removed the bands. I keep the watch in my pocket. I could barely hear the beeps at first. It took days before I was able to hear it every time. Well, I still don't hear it every time, but almost.
